Why International Business and Management Fast-Track?

Within the IBMS Fast-Track programme you'll find an international, educational hub where you may learn and connect, as you acquire the skills and the knowledge you need to succeed in tomorrow's job markets – anywhere in the world. We are proud to educate the next generation of international business leaders. And you might become one of them.

By the time you complete your studies, you'll have become a broadly educated entrepreneur: a trained creative thinker, capable of solving problems when and where they arise. With your international experience, you'll also be able to apply what you've have learned in a multinational, culturally diverse working environment.

At the International Business School we like to teach our students to take responsibility for a sustainable tomorrow. With that in mind, you'll learn to navigate the challenges, pitfalls and opportunities of doing business in the complex digital 21st century.

Three year programme including study abroad and internship

What distinguishes this programme from a bachelor at a research university is that you are able to study abroad for one semester and you combine writing your thesis with undertaking an internship at a company.

Personal Attention

What makes our programme really stand out is the personal attention given to students. You will attend classes with your own group of 30 students maximum. Students also benefit from a lot of class time contact with their lectures: about 20 hours a week. Every student is assigned to a mentor and each programme has its own study advisor.

In the first three semesters you will gain solid knowledge and skills in doing business internationally. You will then leave Amsterdam and study abroad at one of our partner universities across the globe. In your third, and final year you will specialise in either International Financial Management, Global Marketing & Management, or International Business Organisation. In the final semester you will combine writing your thesis whilst doing your internship at a company.

Career Opportunities

Upon successfully completing your professional minor and research paper you will be a skilled international business professional with experience in the global mobile workforce.

Admission Criteria

In order to be admitted to the IBMS-FT programme you will need to have completed secondary education at a level equivalent to the Dutch havo, vwo or International Baccalaureate. In some cases additional requirements may be requested.

How to Apply

Our aim is to make your international study a real international experience by welcoming international and Dutch students. In order to do so, IBMS Fast-Track has a selection procedure (decentral selection). This means a certain number of students per academic year will be able to commence their studies. To ensure an international study environment, students with international experience are given priority in the selection and admission process.
