More Information-

The School of Medicine of European University Cyprus (EUC) offers a five-year Dentistry program, leading to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). The dental school started in 2017 and is now recruiting for its eighth year of students. In addition to its brand new teaching facilities, EUC's campus is also home to its dental clinic, meaning that students will effectively be based in one building for the entireity of their studies.

You will be taught in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with the latest technology used in dental education. Teaching is conducted in English, with a minimum workload of 5,000 hours of theoretical and practical training, equivalent to 300 ECTS.

The Dentistry program integrates the acquisition of a strong science foundation with hands-on clinical skills. You will be prepared for your future role as a healthcare professional with a focus on skills such as the ability to work under pressure, the ability to work in a team with other dental staff and the ability to communicate with patients and colleagues. Most of all, you will develop your clinical skills and your scientific knowledge to enable you to excel in a dentistry career.

To be accepted as a student you will need to:

  • Complete our application form
  • Provide evidence of your academic qualifications. For A' Level students we will be looking for around ABB or better, to include biology and at least one of chemistry, maths and physics. We can also advise on Scottish Highers, Irish Leaving Cert, International Baccalaureate and other European high school diplomas. BTECs will not be acceptable and it is unlikely that foundation or access courses will be acceptable either.
  • If you don't have the required grades in your high school diploma but do have a relevant Bachelors degree, it might still be possible to get a place.
  • Prove your English ability if your secondary education has been in a different language (IELTS 6.5 or better)
  • Write a motivation letter/personal statement
  • Provide an academic reference
  • Give details of any work experience. This will be taken into consideration but is not an essential prerequisite.
  • Send a copy of your passport
  • Pay a 200 euro application fee (non-refundable)

Once we have received the above we will inform you whether you have secured a place in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery program. Please note that the University reserves the right to conduct interviews of applicants to strengthen the selection process, when necessary. This typically only happens with borderline candidates.

If you would like to see the full brochure for the EUC dentistry programme, please request information on this page and we will send it to you, along with our guidelines for applying. There is no additional cost involved in applying through A Star Future.
