Do you wonder how and why Google and Facebook have become household names? Do you want to know how your favourite TV show developed from script to screen? Are you intrigued by how people use their smartphones? Anyone who is fascinated by new and traditional media and has an inquisitive and analytical personality will be a great fit for this programme.
The programme focuses on the informative and social function of media and provides a strong comparative perspective on the cultural, international, historical, economic and political contexts of media production and use.
We place a strong emphasis on the practices of media production. Students will also benefit from opportunities to develop professional skills.
Our learning labs, seminars and innovative assessments (like production of videos, posters and a festival) provide a participatory learning environment, allowing students to develop their practical skills and creativity.
You will study in a highly international and interdisciplinary setup that facilitates intercultural awareness and prepares you for working in a global media environment.
The minimum entry requirements of this programme are three A-levels.
Social media analyst, web-TV producer, community manager, policy advisor, digital strategy consultant, media and journalism, marketing and public relations.
