History, Law and Society
About the programme
The History, Law, and Society Major is designed to serve as an interdisciplinary crossroads of the fields of law and history. The major encourages a liberal arts education across the University curriculum, in keeping with the ideal of law as a “liberal profession” in which free thinking, academic mastery, and intellectual rigor are encouraged through a variety of disciplines.
Students may enroll in this major as an informal pre-law major or as a complement to other areas of study.
