ARCHIP (Architectural Institute in Prague) is the only College of Architecture in Central Europe to offer a complete Bachelor programme in the English language. The intensive, 180-credit degree is fully accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education and follows all mandatory E.U. and Bologna protocols for a three-year Bachelor degree (BSc.). ARCHIP’s degree allows students to apply for graduate study, or to go straight into professional practice.

The excellent English taught course is now in its second year, with over forty students, representing 20 nationalities on five continents, offering a truly international environment. We plan for a maximum of 180 total students - 60 per academic class, providing significant personalized attention and interaction with tutors. The curriculum is based in studio instruction; other professional courses should relate to it and complement it. Lectures in theory combine with practice-oriented seminars, excursions and workshops – practical instruction is assigned a great weight in the study program.

Located in a beautiful renovated 19th century former printing workshop in central Prague, ARCHIP is a platform for architecture in general, with its own information, promotion and publication activities. It has an exhibition space and a professional reference library. Weekly public lectures have brought students in contact with leading international architects, designers and theoreticians.

Admission and scholarships

Online admissions are based on a digital portfolio of candidate’s work, including a short motivational letter. ARCHIP grants scholarships in the amount of 90 %, 60 % and 30 % of tuition fee to the best applicants, on the basis of the evaluation and the recommendations of the professional review committee.
