Course description
Chemistry is everywhere. Clothes, MP3 players, make-up, PCs, cars, petrol, pharmaceutical products and food: everything is made based on chemistry. The chemical industry plays an important role in solving problems such as climate change, safe food and health care. At HZ you learn to work with advanced equipment in modern laboratories: so you get to know the ropes of this profession.
The first two years introduce you to the professional field. In the third year, you specialize in either Applied Chemistry or Life Sciences. With a Chemistry degree you can go in all directions! After your studies, a challenging career in the centre of society is waiting for you.
A chemist can – for example – carry out a medical research or develop DNA-tests, but he can also work on improving the purification of waste water or developing new products.
