Dentistry and Dental Prosthodontics
All Italian dentistry degrees take six years to complete.
Dentistry at La Sapienza is offered in English for the first time from October 2022. The class will consist of 19 EU students and 6 non-EU students.
The entrance exam for 2024 admission will no longer be the IMAT. We believe that it will be replaced by the TOLC exam but are awaiting final confirmation.
If you performed strongly in the UCAT then you might be able to get a place at La Sapienza but if this was the weakness in your application in the UK then you are unlikely to be successful here. Conversely, if you performed fine in your tests but maybe didn't interview well, this could be a route for you. A level grades are not important in and of themselves but students who are strong in biology and chemistry will be at an advantage.
As we aim to assist students in getting a place at dental school, this is far too risky in our opinion, unless you are prepared to accept the possibility of an unplanned gap year if you don't get a place. La Sapienza might very well be your first choice but you need to have a Plan B.
