About the programme
The International Business Administration Department offers a Management Major which equips students with fundamental skills and knowledge in management of global organizations. It exposes students to various aspects of managing resources, time and personnel while providing students with an appreciation of the role of organizations in society and an understanding of how legal, economic and political developments impact organizations. Management students can follow one of the three proposed tracks.
The General Management track has a generalist approach and allows the student to work with his or her academic advisor to construct a major in conjunction with personal interests and career aspirations.
The Global Business Strategy and Leadership track is offered in collaboration with the Department of International and Comparative Politics and offers students the possibility of an interdisciplinary program of study. In addition to core business courses, students explore the basic structures and processes in politics in order to gain a fundamental understanding of the international arena in which business operate today. Students who may be interested in a leadership role in the development area or the non-profit sector can explore these through careful choice of elective courses.
The Art and Creativity track, proposed in conjunction with the Department of Art History and Fine Arts, enables students with a business background to study the professional world of art management and art history students to gain knowledge of business concepts and practices in order to work in the developing field of creativity management and, more specifically, art management.
