International Business for Asia is one of the four tracks within the International Business undergraduate programme, taught entirely in English, at Rotterdam Business School. It covers all aspects of international trade, and aims to develop future managers who are versed in all aspects of international business.

Practical-focus business education

In the course of the studies, students of the International Business for Asia proramme will be introduced to multiple disciplines including marketing, export, sales, logistics, law, economics, business ethics, cross-cultural management and international entrepreneurship. The curriculum was developed as a result of intensive consultation with international business world. This ensures that students develop essential skills needed by professional in the field of international trade and marketing.

International focus

International Business for Asia students will have the opportunity to complete placements in Asia. In addition, you can study an Asian language during the programme, such as Mandarin and Japanese.

An International Business for Asia graduate is flexible and ready to travel extensively in positions entailing frequent international contact. In many cases your home base will be outside the Netherlands. The International Business for Asia programme perfectly caters for this aspect by offering students the opportunity to participate in foreign exchange programmes and placements in Asia.

Career prospects with an International Business for Asia degree

As a graduate of the International Business for Asia programme you can take positions like Area Manager, Consultant, Commercial Management, Account Management and Import/Export Manager.

You can also work at embassies or consulates in Asia or in The Netherlands.
