Why study Medicine with the University of Groningen?

Established in 1614, the Faculty of Medical Sciences is the second oldest in the Netherlands. We have designed a problem-based curriculum, which is both patient and student centred.

Our new teaching programme gives you the chance to choose between two English-taught learning communities: Molecular Medicine or Global Health.

After the Bachelor phase, students from both programmes enter the three-year Dutch-taught Master's degree programme together and graduate after six years as a physician.

How to apply

Candidates must have three A-levels in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.

This programme has a numerus fixus of 410 students per year. The application deadline is 15 January.

Students who have not received their A-level grades may be at a disadvantage when applying.
