Startup awards international students in Germany 1,500 euros and rent-free house

Nestpick scholarship

A unique scholarship is to be awarded to one student who will start a university degree in Germany this year.

It's not from a university. It's from rental startup Nestpick.

The winner will receive a 1,500 euros non-repayable grant and free accommodation for one month in a Berlin-based furnished apartment plus a workspace in Unter den Londen offices.

Nestpick scholarship is aimed at those currently completing their theses in any discipline, so all applicants are required to submit a video to introduce their research proposals and how the scholarship might assist them. Entries will be published on Nestpick scholarship’s website, and the student whose video gets the most votes will win the award.

Nestpick founder, Fabian Dudek, said that he encountered a very big problem five years ago, and felt that he could change the world by working hard to solve it. That experience, and his desire to encourage creativity and innovation, inspired Fabian to run Nestpick scholarship.

“If you have an idea that you’re proud about, an idea that you think would change the way people live in a positive way then use this scholarship. We’d seriously want to support you”, said Fabian.

The deadline for application is 1st March 2016.
