Bocconi University

Universita Bocconi is located in the centre of Milan, the country’s commercial, financial and fashion capital.

The University was established in 1902 with a generous endowment from Ferdinando Bocconi, a wealthy merchant who also founded the renowned "La Rinascente" department store (located next to the Duomo in the centre of Milano – the name means “Renaissance” after the 1st World War). Bocconi was the first Italian institution of higher education to grant a degree in economics.

Today Bocconi is more international than ever before: the hundreds of students entering each year from around the world make up over 15% of the student body.

Bocconi University seeks to address the research and education needs of the national, European, and global economic system, by assiduously favouring cultural progress, international exchange, and economic integration.

Bocconi is a member of two important international networks, the Program of International Management (PIM) and the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS).

In addition to exchange agreements with many members of these organizations, and programs like Study Tours and Campus Abroad, Bocconi has bilateral accords for exchanges with about 150 leading universities around the world.

Universita’ Bocconi also supports its graduating students in their approach to the job market with a strong Career Service.

This structure provides up-to-date information, CV and interview training and support as students move toward the working world. The school boasts an enormous network of connections with companies of all types and sizes in Italy and abroad.

We are proud to note that Bocconi grads nail down their first job within an average of just three months of getting their degree.

Each year the University sponsors numerous cultural, artistic and musical events that are open to the student body.
Aside from Milan’s many attractions, Italy’s unmatched wealth of natural and cultural wonders beckon during holidays and after exams!

Facilities

The modern urban campus, located next to a public park, features several new buildings, including expanded classroom, IT and dormitory space, and a stunning facility for the school’s Institutes and Research Centres. Moreover Bocconi offers dedicated sports facilities.
