IMS offers a Medical Program at the Medical School of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJS). This is a 6 year (12 semesters) programme taught exclusively in English. This programme is intended for high school graduates who fulfil the minimum requirements.

Graduates of this programme, receive a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from this accredited EU University. This programme has a limited amount of openings to foreign candidates. From start to finish, the university gives graduates the necessary experience to enter the medical profession with confidence.

Moreover graduates of this program acquire theoretical knowledge in a range of preclinical and clinical topics. With regards to practical knowledge, students learn therapeutical and clinical methods. Furthermore they acquire qualifications for specializing in various respective fields and in medical research.

Key modules in the General Medicine Degree programme include: Biophysics, Biology, Medical Chemistry, Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Medical Terminology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Internal Medicine – Propaedeutic, Surgery, Psychiatry, Radio diagnostic and Nuclear Medicine, Hygiene and Epidemiology, Forensic Medicine and Medicine Law.

At the end of the 6th year, students who pass the obligatory state written examination, graduate with an accredited Doctor of General Medicine (M.D.) degree.
