Interior Architecture

|
The first interior architecture course of its kind in Ireland, the BA (Hons) programme has been designed to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry. Employers want honours-level students trained with cutting-edge skills in space planning, technology and visualisation, and our interior architecture course provides this. Today's market is now focused strongly on refurbishment, sustainable design, and retrofitting existing buildings. In consultation with Ireland's leading interior architects we designed a course to create the new leaders in the interior architecture field. Our students learn to design sophisticated, cutting-edge interiors and become proficient at advanced technology, allowing them to create visualisations and walk-throughs that impact clients. Importantly, they gain the skills necessary to manage every detail of their projects from start to finish. Our interior architecture course has two main points of focus: professional skill development and academic development. Successful graduates of the interior architecture course can choose to join the professional world or to pursue an MA in Design (interior architecture) or related disciplines. Our graduates are employed in Irish and international architectural and design firms, working on projects in commercial design (galleries, leisure complexes, retail units, hotels) and specialist conversion projects. Our students' extensive technical training - including 3-D modelling, rendering and simulations - also opens up employment opportunities as CAD specialists.
